WEEK 4 RECAP - Bryant " 007 " Picone

Game 1: Bomb Squad (59) v. CRBJ (23)
After failing to defuse Royal Flush the previous weekend, Bomb Squad knew
they had to come out and play hard. As Kenny Jang was heard saying to a
local reporter before the game, “This one’s for Rex Ryan! My name might not be Bart Scott, but I’ll kill for that man… He’s the best coach ever… and his wife has excellent feet!!” Bomb Squad showed you why they’re Overtime Basketball’s NY Jets equivalent by surgically annihilating CRBJ at an efficient clip. James Choi, Kenny and John Lim all scored double digits and Mike Song provided the rebounding prowess while also shooting 5 of 6 from the FT line. In fact, Bomb Squad shot 85% from the FT line as a team…impressive. CRBJ had their hands full in this one, but they got spirited
efforts from everyone. Hae Chon Kim broke double digits in points and all three Kims grabbed 5 boards apiece.

Game 2: DB Isonation (65) v. Team NYCE (53)
Moon Hwan Yun made a bold prediction before this matchup. While I was
canyoneering in the Swiss Alps, Moon called me via satellite phone and told
me that everyone on his team would score double digits. I wrote it off as a
confident boast, but alas Moon’s prediction came true. In hindsight, I wish
I had conferred with the omniscient Moon before buying that Mega Millions
ticket for the $380 M jackpot…Anyways, this game was highlighted by DB Iso’s
spread offensive attack which got everyone involved. Moon led the team with
both 16 points and 11 boards. Paul Kong hit 4 of 8 threes and Chris Youn
went a very respectable 12 of 13 from the charity stripe. For Team NYCE, Ace
Wan led the way with a scintillating performance. Scoring 29 points on 10 of
16 shooting and 4 three balls, Ace was simply en fuego. Elitar Kim pitched
in on the glass by corralling 11 misses.

Game 3: Royal Flush (45) v. Strong Island (44)
In the tightest match up of the week, it’s Royal Flush that prevails. Strong
Island felt really good, holding quad 9’s, but when they looked across the
table at their opponent’s Royal Flush, they knew it was all over. Mark Lee
sparked the Flush offense with 26 while Bada did it all by snatching 10
boards, dishing out 3 assists, getting in the passing lanes to the tune of 3
steals and swatting away 3 shot attempts. For Strong Island, their best
effort was not quite enough. The two-headed offensive monster of Tung and Ri
provided 31 points while the rebounding tandem of Ray Lee and Chris Asuncion
pulled down 25 REBs.
